The Bahay Bata Centre in Angeles City, Philippines, provides a home, education and a future for the street children
 


Dental mission to the center.

             

September 3 - 11, 2001

Val Viray DDS and Danny Tan DDS, two dentists from California USA, spent 8 days of their vacation helping local children at the Angeles Bahay Bata Center by providing free dental evaluations and emergency treatments. The mission was also supported by the Angeles City Mayor - the Honorable  Carmelo Lazatin; the Angeles City Health Officer - Dr. Esguerra and members of his staff.

   


Val Viray DDS and Danny Tan DDS two dentists who have supported the Center in the past, donated not only their time and efforts but also shipped in and brought close to US $20,000 of much needed dental supplies to treat the local children.

   


The children were screened, then furnished with toothbrushes and toothpaste and taught how to properly care for their teeth and received instruction on proper dental hygiene. After the class the dentist put on their gowns and got down to the more serious aspects of dental treatment.
